Fraser George are a specialist scientific research house, concentrating on the understanding of fundamental electrical phenomenon with the purpose to supplement expert witness services to the legal profession and to private individuals in the fields of:

  • electrical engineering
  • electronic engineering
  • control system engineering

Our depth of expertise can support the many comprehensive technical aspects that often constitute engineering and industrial-related cases. The company retains a network of associated expert engineers, specialising across the many fields encountered in domestic and industrial environments.

We are based in the North of England, and provide expert witness services to legal cases across the United Kingdom. The company was formed in 2015 by Dr Robert Brown, his professional details are below.

Dr Robert Brown is a registered Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 32 years experience in the design and operation of electrical and electronic control systems for domestic and industrial environments, including cable wiring, electrical current switching, electrical power generation and utilisation, automatic (computer) control of domestic and industrial process. Dr Brown is recognised as a world expert in the operation and design of electrical fuses, circuit breakers and other electrical fault protection systems. Dr Brown is a member of the Institute of Engineering Technology and is also a member of the Institute of Expert Witnesses.

Expert/Specialist Field

Dr Robert E Brown is an expert witness in the fields of electrical, electronic and control engineering.

Achieving a first class honours degree (BEng), in Electronic Systems and Control Engineering, a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Electrical Engineering, and attaining Chartered Electrical Engineer status, Dr Brown has worked extensively within the manufacturing, utility and construction sectors, as a consultant engineer with many large blue chip organisations and well as small OME and startup companies.

Robert, as he likes to called, is an acclaimed expert in the operation and design of electrical fuses, circuit breakers and other electrical fault protection systems. He also has extensive experience in the operation, design, manufacture and testing of electrical and electronic control systems for domestic and industrial environments.

Robert continues to work as a consultant engineer and researcher whilst building up a second theme to his career, undertaking expert legal work. This work is rapidly expanding and he finds himself increasingly in demand from solicitors, barristers and personal clients both at home and abroad. However, Robert’s ethos is to help any party, no matter the significance of the problem.

To date, Robert has provided expert and legal representation, working directly with private individuals, companies, solicitors, barristers and other legal professionals and also as a single joint expert in many cases. He has extensive court experience, including International, High, Crown and County Courts.
