Technology Malfunction Disagreements

In a real world, technology does not always function as expected. Efficient operation of technology relies on proficient interfacing of component parts, which in most cases are produced by different manufacturers. However, given incorrect interfacing of components, disputes arise and in most cases involve the simple argument, of causation and responsibility for technology malfunction. Fraser George and Associates Limited have acted in such cases where causation and responsibility for technology malfunction has been key.

Notable technology malfunction disputes include:-

In the High Court of Justice, Queens Bench Division, Technology and Construction Court, Uninterruptible Power Supplies Limited v Shield Batteries Limited

As Defense expert representing Shield Batteries Limited, supplied batteries to Uninterruptible Power Supplies Limited (UPS), for inclusion within computer based equipment as a backup power supply, the equipment being used in large data centres such as banks. UPS claimed that the batteries suffered from a natural phenomenon known as ‘thermal runaway’, yet Fraser George helped present the argument that thermal runaway was caused by poor equipment (UPS) design rather than battery attributes.
